As some of you may know, the last day of summer was on September 22nd this year. Without getting too scientific, autumn is brought by the equinox. Equinox is a word that comes from Latin and means “equal nights” and equinoxes (that happen at fall and spring) are the only days of the year in which the sun moves across the celestial equator.
Fall has started and it isn’t hard to tell because the temperatures are beginning to drop and the days are getting shorter.
However, because it is the end of summer doesn’t mean all the fun is over. First of all, Halloween is coming up and fall is the perfect season to play around with pumpkins and train to be able to make the perfect jack-o’-lantern! It’s also a great occasion to make pumpkin pies, roast the seeds or even make frozen pumpkin desserts. If you are planning on hosting a party by the end of October, check out our blog post about How To Host an Eco-Friendly Halloween Party.
Fall isn’t just about Halloween, it is also the season to watch football and it is always a good reason to have friends over to watch the game.
Are you ready to enjoy the game with your best friends reunited on your couch? Better be prepared and be a good host! Why not using compartment trays to serve a bunch of snacks during the game? Fill it up with chips, sweets, fruits, food bites and let your guests enjoy! As far as bringing beverages from the kitchen to the living room, think about using a tray such as this beautiful bamboo folding meal tray, it will make your life a lot easier!
You and I both know that fall season is going to be just as enjoyable as summer! Keep an eye on trees’ leaves around you however… According to an old weather proverb, “If autumn leaves are slow to fall, prepare for a cold winter.”
