Disposable utensils are made of wood, bamboo or cornstarch and they are natural and biodegradable. While they are disposable, they are very elegant and will enhance any table setting.
Let’s start with our wood cutlery collection that not only looks beautiful, but is made from a fully renewable resource and is fully compostable.
This rustic and chic line includes several unique wood pieces, including beginners’ fork-chopsticks, ice cream spoons and cocktail forks. Whether it is birch, poplar or pinewood, our wooden products will add a smooth and sophisticated touch to your tableware presentation in a very Eco-friendly way.
What about our Bamboo cutlery? With several specialty items including mini forks and mini spoons, tongs and our unique pre-filled mini bamboo salt and pepper shakers, it adds a unique touch to any food that they are served with. Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on the planet, growing as large as 24 inches every day and needing very little water to do so and absolutely zero chemicals. This 100% biodegradable material is one of our most popular materials and offers a more refined and stylish silverware alternative.
The last utensil material we want to talk about is the very surprising Cornstarch PLA. Our PLA utensils look like they are made of plastic but are 100% biodegradable and compostable. Once it is converted to a thermoplastic polyester known as PLA, corn starch is strong just like regular plastic only it is completely compostable. Though, it can’t withstand high temperatures, PLA is a versatile material that can be used in a variety of ways. This line of refined, nicely finished and heavy duty cornstarch cutlery provides an alternative to environmentally unfriendly plastic and the more rustic renditions of PLA cutlery seen elsewhere
Not only all of our utensils are elegant and functional, but they are also all made of materials that are conform to norm EN13432 of the European Biodegradability Standard. What else could you ask for?!
